Chenzhou is accelerating its pace towards a one-hundred-billion lithium battery new energy industry.

 

 

With over 5 million tons of lithium oxide reserves, Chenzhou has obtained the policy support of “Ten Measures for Lithium” issued by the provincial government. It’s striving to build a lithium battery industry cluster that integrates lithium ore, materials, battery, terminal, and recycling.

 

Chenzhou has attracted industrial giants such as Ane and Dazhong Mining. There are 191 lithium battery enterprises above designated size.

 

Led by CORUN, an advanced energy storage innovation consortium has been established. Guiyang Baidejin Metal Smelting Co., Ltd. and Sino-Platinum Metals (Yongxing) Resources Co., Ltd. has achieved the business revenue of 10 billion yuan. Hunan Joysun Angao Tech Company’s solid-state batteries for drones have achieved mass production.

 

In 2025, Hunan will make efforts to build the “Ten Major Industrial Projects”, including the New Energy Power and Energy Storage Industry Base. Two projects in Linwu County of Chenzhou City are included among them.

 

In 2025, Chenzhou will make full use of the policy to accelerate the construction of key projects in lithium battery consortia and unleash the driving role of new technologies such as solid-state batteries.

 

 

The numbers of China-Europe freight trains and Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal trains have both exceeded a thousand. The deep integration of central and southern Hunan into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has received national support. The cooperation in the Hunan-Jiangxi border region has been deepened. The actual domestic investment in the demonstration zone for industrial transfer in southern Hunan and western Hunan has exceeded 400 billion yuan.

On January 2, the first Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal train in 2025 departed from Chenzhou Land Port. Loaded with furniture, it will arrive at the Port of Frixtor in the UK through the Yantian Port in Shenzhen.

 

The Chenzhou-Changsha-Europe International Express, Hunan-Guangdong-Africa Rail-sea Intermodal Transport, and Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong Single E-lock Scheme Through Train operate on a regular basis in Chenzhou. Besides, four new through bill of lading routes from Africa to Chenzhou have been opened.

 

Chenzhou has newly introduced 162 projects from the Greater Bay Area. There are 238 “vegetable basket” bases for the Greater Bay Area. The cooperation between Chenzhou and Foshan continues to heat up. Young cadres have been sent to the Greater Bay Area for immersive training for three consecutive years.

 

Hunan and Jiangxi provinces have cooperated for ten years. Based on it, Chenzhou has built a number of infrastructure projects, promoted a number of key projects, and achieved a number of collaborations. The Anren section of the Chaling-Changning Expressway has been opened to traffic. Ten new “Xiangganhong” authorized

Nowadays, Chenzhou is committed to building a “world tourism destination”.

 

Scenic areas such as Yangtian Lake, Gaoyi Ridge, and Yuhou Street have become popular destinations for tourists. The 2024 Star Concert, Feitian Mountain Music Festival and other events have attracted many tourists. Chenzhou has won the title of “Most Charming Tourist Destination” and has been listed among the top 10 most popular niche cities and the top 50 “Treasured Small Cities” in China.

 

 

 

Chenzhou has also made good results in the construction of a “sports city”.

 

At the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics, Hou Zhihui, Luo Shifang, Liu Huanhua, and Shi Yiting from Chenzhou won a total of 4 gold medals.

 

Chenzhou has established a three-level sports talent cultivation system at the municipal, county (district), and school levels to promote the integration of sports and education. Such events such as the Lin Dan Cup Badminton Tournament and Marathon have been held, which allowed more sports talents to chase their sports dreams and made Chenzhou a hot land of sports.
